After a lifetime in Southern California, work forced me to the Northeast. Now, Southern California is just a memory. Cape Ann, in New England is where I hang my hat. For the dogs, cats, and me, this has become our home. Though the Pacific Northwest is a tempting thought, the history of New England offers a more enriching experience by far. Yes, we are home. Lady, the Collie/Shepard mix to the left, passed away July 4, 2000. We miss her deeply. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

For twenty years now, I've been writing and maintaining computer programs and systems. COBOL is the language I am versed in. Unfortunately, LAN's and PC's have made COBOL a jurassic language. Fortunately, I have become part of the Web Development Team for a growing company in Woburn, Massachusetts. I will be learning Cold Fusion and will be getting training in MS SQL and Oracle soon. This will bring me into the brave new world of computers today. And, best of all, none of my young co-workers are calling me 'Pops' yet. | What is it that I do? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

The beauty of the area is difficult to describe. A big city this isn't. In this town the American Legion Band still plays summer concerts at the bandstand by the community center. The town is known as an artist's community. Main street is dotted with galleries of the works of Donald and Christine Mosher, Michael Correal, and Lauri Fielding to name just a few. The North Atlantic laps the shoreline, sometimes glasslike in appearance, sometimes raging in anger. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
